2 nights glamping for up to 4 people with breakfast included for only £248.00

Our beautiful centre is right next to the Peak District with loads to do over the weekend. Here’s a few ideas of activities you could do while staying with us...

1. Book onto High Ropes - WEBSITE

Mount Cooks awesome High Ropes wall is 40 foot high, with challenges like the leap of faith, crate stack, and Jacob’s ladder to take on. This is one of our most popular activities as it gives an adrenaline rush while building team spirit! 2 full hours for just £15.00 per person.

2. Hire Bikes from Middleton Top - WEBSITE

Bike hire starts from £21.00 for adults and £15.00 per children. Explore 17 miles of the High Peak Trail by bike, taking in sights like Harborough Rocks, the view over Carsington reservoir, then stop for an ice cream at Parsley Hay. The wildlife is amazing at this time of year, with cowslip and wild thyme scattered along the side of the trail.

3. Visit Carsington Water - WEBSITE

For more cycling routes or some water sports, why not visit Carsington Reservoir, just a 10-minute drive from Mount Cook? Kayak hire starts from £15.00 per person, and you can hire wetsuits there.

If you’d prefer to visit on foot, the 13.5-kilometre walk is clearly marked and gently undulating. Don’t’ forget to bring your binoculars as oystercatchers, avocets, and lapwings can be spotted wading in the shallows.

4. Visit Cromford Mills - WEBSITE

Visit this historic Mill just a 5 minute drive from Mount Cook. You can book a tour of Mill to learn more about Sir Richard Arkwright or walk along the canal after buying some duck food. Make sure to visit the artisan market on Sunday the 17th, with food, crafts, and stallholders!

5. Explore Matlock Bath

Also just 5 minutes away from Mount Cook, Matlock Bath offers loads of exciting attractions in addition to it's world famous arcades and fish and chip shops! Take a cable car up to the Heights of Abraham, or visit the Victorian swimming pool now filled with Koi Carp at Matlock Bath Aquarium.
