Take off the job learning to the next level at Mount Cook Adventure Centre. Build experience and demonstrate KSBs with a bespoke programme designed around your organisations aims and objectives.
OUTDOOR LEARNING FOR APPRENTICES
Mount Cook are offering a dynamic practical development programme for apprentices designed around the Personal Development Outcomes of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF) for FE and the “Behaviours” contained within the specific Apprenticeship Standard(s).
Our recommended package includes:

Two night/three day programme - a minimum of 31 off the job hours ​

Fully facilitated learning through outdoor activity and review

Bespoke programme design with input from your early careers team.

​Ensuite accommodation and full board catering onsite
All programmes will give apprentices the opportunity to grow and develop self awareness and empathy that allows them to work effectively within a team.

Day 1
11:00 Arrival & check in
11:30 Orientation & icebreakers
12:30 Buffet lunch
13:30 Adventurous activities & pushing comfort zones
17:00 Two course dinner & review
19:00 Team problem solving activities
Day 2
08:30 Breakfast
09:15 First strategy based task
12:30 Buffet lunch
13:45 Second strategy based task
17:30 Two course dinner
19:30 Second strategy based task continued

*Tasks will be a mixture of adventurous activities, logic & problem solving, with an overarching scenario.
Day 3
08:30 Breakfast & check out of rooms
09:15 Apprentices prepare presentation based on peer and tutor feedback
11:00 Fun & active team presentation to peers & mentors
12:30 Buffet lunch
13:00 Depart​
Programmes will be physically and mentally challenging and are designed to identify strengths and improve on weaknesses.
Networking and forming lifelong professional relationships is also a core element of our residential programmes.
