OUTDOOR ACTIVITY CENTRE IN DERBYSHIRE
We are a not-for-profit outdoor activity centre, based in Derbyshire, providing access to the outdoors for all.
Mount Cook provides group stays and outdoor activities, as well as a range of courses and events for individuals.
Our adventurous activities are designed to broaden horizons, develop key skills and create lasting memories.
We work with a range of groups; from schools, to charities, to businesses.

What we offer
World class school residential trips in Derbyshire! We run school residentials 12 months of the year, suitable for year 2's to year 11's. Promote growth, learning and connect to nature.
Whether you would like a bespoke residential at our activity centre, or a memorable team building event, Mount Cook is the perfect venue for you.
From Duke of Edinburgh, to sports tours, to charity retreats, we host a range of groups at our outdoor adventure centre.
We also exclusively hire out our beautiful modern outdoor adventure centre, with plenty of outdoor space, meeting rooms and accommodation for up to 180 people.

HOW WE STARTED
Mount Cook was founded by outdoor enthusiasts and friends, Robin Sibson and Colin Adams. Having enjoyed many adventures throughout their lives and eager to give something back, Colin and Robin wanted to enable others to enjoy and appreciate the great outdoors through adventurous outdoor activities and outdoor learning in Derbyshire.
​The purpose-built outdoor adventure centre took just 1 year to build and opened its doors to the public in July 2016.
​
Since the summer of 2016, we have welcomed over 50,000 individuals through our doors and continue to work with a variety of schools, groups, organisations and charities to provide exceptional outdoor experiences and school residential trips in Derbyshire.
